Pattern Limited support and promote UK businesses taking part in the world’s most succesful and influential trade fairs. The brief provided by the client was to produce a website which they could use to display and advertise their trade fairs.
The Project Brief
Our team at Lowaire Digital worked at building the site on the WordPress CMS in order to create a user-friendly site that was easy to update and amend. We also built the system for displaying trade shows using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF.)
The team worked with the client after they got in touch with us via a recommendation from one of our previous clients. Pattern Limited wanted a more modern design for their website to attract a new audience and to keep on trend. The main requirements for the project were to develop a new, fresh-looking website, whilst still retaining the brand-identity and brand values. They also wanted to develop additional features such as a blog, a greater search functionality and an ability to filter their trade fair listings. After discussing their requirements and their business objectives, we suggested designing a site built on the WordPress content management system (CMS).

The Project Outcome
The resulting website built by the team at Lowaire Digital presented an intuitive, clean and visually exciting site for the client to engage with both trade fair organisers and attendees. The ease-of-use of the WordPress CMS allows Pattern Ltd to avoid expensive developer costs as they are able to frequently update their own trade fair listings along with all the required content, links and images. The Pattern team can now react to enquiries and upload new information quickly, keeping the site up-to-date and relevant from within their own team.
The new site provides information for all types of site visitors through a drop-down menu. This allows visitors to filter through and find the details specific to them, increasing the engagement rate with the site. We also created a contact page that collects details of the enquirers interests so that the team can respond with relevant information. We included an integrated Google Map detailing Pattern ltd’s location for site visitors.
We also used Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to build a new search and filter function which make it much easier for both exhibitors and attendees to access the information they need quickly, and without having to scroll through pages of listings. Trade shows also now appear dynamically across the site under the relevant categories and locations, this allows users to easily access and compare information from different trade fairs depending on whether they’re searching by location or trade.
